Non-Medical Help for Seniors in Las Vegas: Errands, Appointments and Company

I’m Daniel Gillespie, a Las Vegas local for 38 years. I help older adults stay independent at home with the practical things: errands, groceries, prescriptions, bill paying, getting to appointments in their own car, and a friendly face who turns up when he says he will. Many of the people who call me are sons and daughters living in another state.

What I Help With

Errands and shopping

Groceries, prescriptions, the post office, dry cleaning and household supplies, done from a list or together.

Appointments

Getting to the doctor, the dentist or the bank in their own car, waiting, and getting home again. I can keep the family updated afterwards.

Bills and paperwork

Sorting the mail, paying bills on time and keeping track of renewals, so nothing is missed.

Around the house

Letting in repair people, checking the AC before summer, changing a light bulb that is too high, and booking the vendors the house needs.

Company

A regular visit, a coffee, a chat and a second pair of eyes. For many families that weekly check-in is the most valuable part.

An empty home

If a parent moves into care or into family, I can look after the house they leave with regular home watch visits.

What This Is, and What It Is Not

This is practical, non-medical help from one person. I do not provide hands-on personal care such as bathing, dressing or toileting, and I do not give medical care or manage medication. If your parent needs that, a licensed home care agency is the right choice, and I am happy to work alongside one, taking care of the errands, appointments and house so their carers can focus on care.

For Families Living Out of State

A lot of my senior clients are arranged by their children in California, Arizona, the Midwest and further away. You set up what is needed, and I send you a short update after each visit, so you know the groceries were bought, the prescription was collected and your mom or dad is doing well. A Client’s Family in Their Own Words

“Danny demonstrated an ability to deal with our uncle Joe (an octogenarian), with compassion, humor, and understanding. Danny became my Uncle Joe’s driver, friend and confidant until he passed in 2018. We came to rely on Danny to be there for Joe, giving us much peace of mind.”

Common Questions

Is this the same as home care?

No. Home care agencies provide hands-on personal care. I provide practical help: errands, appointments, paperwork, the house and company. Many families use both.

Can I arrange this from another state?

Yes. Send a request through the form, I’ll call you back, and we agree what your parent needs and how often. You get an update after each visit.

How often do you visit?

Whatever suits. Most families start with one or two visits a week and adjust from there.

Which areas do you cover?

Las Vegas, Henderson and Summerlin, including Sun City Summerlin and Sun City Anthem.
