I’m Daniel Gillespie, and I have lived in Las Vegas for 38 years. Home watch means I visit your empty home on a regular schedule, check that everything is as it should be, and tell you straight away if it isn’t.
It is not house sitting, where someone stays in the home, and it is not a property management company. It is one person you can text, who knows your house, your alarm and your pool guy, and who turns up when he says he will.

What Every Home Check Covers
Every visit is inside and out. You get a written report with photos the same day.
Inside the home
Doors and windows, AC and thermostat, signs of leaks under sinks and around water heaters, toilets flushed and taps run, fridge and freezer, alarm and smart devices.
Outside the home
A walk of the grounds for damage, pests, irrigation leaks and anything that tells passers-by the house is empty. Pool and landscaping checked against what you are paying for.
Mail and packages
Mail, flyers and deliveries brought in so nothing piles up at the door. I can hold them for your return or forward what matters to wherever you are.
Vendors and access
I let in the cleaner, pest control or repair company, wait while they work, and confirm the job was done. If something breaks, I call your preferred company and meet them there.
Your vehicles
Cars started so the battery doesn’t die in the heat, moved if you ask, and taken in for service while you are away.
Ready for your return
Before you fly back I can set the AC, open up the house and stock the fridge, so you walk into a cool, ready home.

Home Watch Questions
How often should my empty home be checked?
Most owners choose weekly or every two weeks. Weekly is sensible in summer, when an AC failure or a leak does the most damage in the shortest time. Monthly can suit a newer home with smart sensors.
How do I get a price for home watch?
Send a request through the contact form with your area and how often you want visits. I’ll call you back with a quote for your home, and you approve anything extra before I do it.
What happens if you find a problem?
I contact you straight away with photos. If you want, I call your preferred plumber, AC or repair company, let them in and stay until the job is done.
Can you coordinate with my pool or landscape company?
Yes. I check that your scheduled pool, landscaping and maintenance vendors show up as planned and report any missed visits, so every service you pay for actually happens.
What areas do you cover?
The whole Las Vegas Valley, including Summerlin, The Ridges, Henderson, MacDonald Highlands, Seven Hills, Anthem, Green Valley, Southern Highlands, Centennial Hills and the high-rise condos on and around the Strip.
What type of payment do you take?
Credit cards, checks, Zelle and Apple Pay, among others.
