Gillespie’s Personal Assistant
Decluttering and Home Organizing in Las Vegas, Without the Lecture
Garages, closets, offices and paperwork. No judgement about how it got that way, no system you have to maintain forever, and nothing thrown out without you saying so.
Got a room you have been avoiding? Let’s start there.
How I Work
I’m Daniel Gillespie. Organizing is one part of what I do as a personal assistant, which means I am not selling you a branded method or a cupboard full of matching containers you will never refill.
We start with the space that actually bothers you, not a whole-house plan. You decide what stays. I do the lifting, sorting and hauling, and I handle the part most people stall on: getting the donations, the recycling and the genuine rubbish out of the house the same day.
Some clients want to work alongside me and make the calls in real time. Others leave a list and come back to it done. Both are fine.
A Decluttering Service for Las Vegas and Henderson Homes
Decluttering is the first half of organizing: deciding what goes, and then actually getting it out of the house. Most people who call me are not short of storage. They are short of time, or stuck on the decisions, or have bags of donations that have been sitting by the door for a month.
I help with the whole job. We sort into keep, donate, sell and recycle. I take the donations to the charity, deal with the recycling, and arrange a haul for anything large. Then we put what you are keeping back in a way that is easy to live with.
It suits people downsizing, families clearing a parent’s home, owners getting a house ready to sell, and anyone who simply wants the garage back.
Spaces People Usually Call About
Garages
The most common request in this valley, and usually the one blocking the car from ever going inside. Heat makes it a job worth doing early in the day.
Closets and bedrooms
Clothes sorted, donations bagged and taken, and what is left arranged so you can actually see it.
Paperwork and offices
Filing, shredding and getting the pile of post into something you can find things in. Often paired with ongoing bill paying.
Kitchens and pantries
Expired food out, duplicates consolidated, and things put where you reach for them rather than where they landed.
Getting it out of the house
Donations driven to the charity, recycling dealt with, and larger hauls coordinated. This is the step that usually stalls a DIY attempt.
Before a move or a sale
Thinning things out before packing, so you are not paying to move boxes you will never open again.
Getting a Quote
Every job is quoted personally, because a single closet and a garage that has not been opened in four years are not comparable. Send a request with the space you want help with, and I’ll call you back.
The honest advice is to start with one space. You find out quickly whether you like how I work, and most people discover one room was the actual problem. If you are organizing because you are moving, see moving help, and if you are coming from out of state, relocating to Las Vegas. Clearing a home that will sit empty for a while? See home watch.
Common Questions
What does a decluttering service actually do?
It helps you decide what to keep and then removes the rest. I sort with you, bag and box what is leaving, take donations to the charity, handle the recycling and arrange a haul for large items. What stays gets put back so you can find it.
Will you make me throw things away?
No. Nothing leaves without you agreeing to it. My job is to make the decisions easier by sorting and grouping things so you can actually see what you have, not to pressure you into getting rid of it.
Do I need to be there?
Only for the decisions. Plenty of clients sort the keep-or-go calls with me at the start, then leave me to the sorting, hauling and tidying. For a first session I usually suggest being around, at least for part of it.
Do you take the donations away?
Yes, and it is the part that matters most. Bags that sit in the hallway for three weeks tend to get unpacked again. I take donations to the charity and deal with recycling as part of the job. Genuinely large hauls get coordinated separately.
How long does a garage take?
It depends almost entirely on how many decisions are involved rather than the size of the space. A garage of clearly labelled boxes moves quickly. A garage of mixed, unsorted belongings takes considerably longer. I will give you a realistic estimate after seeing it.
Which areas do you cover?
Las Vegas, Henderson and Summerlin, including The Ridges, Ascaya and MacDonald Highlands.
