Personal concierge helping a client in Las Vegas

What a Concierge Actually Does

Most people picture a hotel desk booking dinner. In practice, a personal concierge is the person who absorbs the admin of running a life: the waiting around, the driving, the chasing of contractors, the things that each take twenty minutes and together take your Saturday.

I’m Daniel Gillespie and I’ve lived in Las Vegas for 38 years. You get one person who learns how you like things done, not a rotating roster who needs re-briefing every time.

There is no package to squeeze into. Some clients need four hours a week, some need someone for one difficult fortnight, and some only call when they travel.

What You Can Hand Over

Errands and pickups

Groceries, dry cleaning, prescriptions, paperwork, packages. The short jobs that are never worth a trip on their own.

The car, and driving you

Taking the car in for service and collecting it. Driving you to an appointment when you shouldn’t be driving yourself, including after illness or a procedure.

Waiting for the trades

Letting in the plumber, the pool service or the delivery you cannot take a morning off for, and being there while they work.

Admin and bills

Paying bills, handling paperwork, keeping appointments in order and making travel arrangements.

The house while you travel

Check-ins, mail and packages held or forwarded, plants, and a walkthrough so problems are found early.

Pets, as part of it

Feeding, walks and vet runs, so your pets are not a separate arrangement with a separate stranger.

Who This Suits

  • People working long or unpredictable hours. Shift work and hospital rotations are normal in this city, and most services are only open while you are at work.
  • Anyone recovering from illness or surgery. Driving, collecting prescriptions and getting to appointments, without leaning on family.
  • Older clients who want independence, not care. Errands, lifts and household coordination. This is not medical or personal care and I don’t provide either.
  • Homeowners who travel often. One person covering the house, the post and the pets rather than three arrangements.
  • Anyone with a bad fortnight coming. A move, a renovation, a family visit, a work trip stacked on top of everything else.

Every job is quoted per situation rather than sold as a package, because an hour of errands and a week of full house cover are not the same job. Tell me what you need and I’ll call you back with a straight quote.

Common Questions

What is the difference between a concierge and a personal assistant?

In practice, very little, and I do both. A concierge is usually associated with arranging and booking things, while a personal assistant tends to mean someone who physically does them: the driving, the waiting, the collecting. My work is mostly the second kind.

How much does a concierge service cost in Las Vegas?

It is quoted per situation rather than sold as a package, because an hour of errands and a week of full house cover are not the same job. Tell me what you need through the contact form and I will call you back with a straight quote.

Can I book you for one task rather than ongoing help?

Yes. Plenty of clients start with a single difficult week, a trip, or one appointment they cannot get to. There is no minimum contract and no obligation to turn it into something ongoing.

Do you provide medical or personal care?

No. I can drive you to appointments, collect prescriptions and handle errands and the household side, but I am not a caregiver and I do not provide medical, nursing or personal care of any kind.

Which areas do you cover?

Las Vegas, Henderson and Summerlin, including The Ridges, Ascaya and MacDonald Highlands. If you are just outside that, ask anyway.
